What are the limitations after treatment, any downtime?

You can go about your normal routine but avoid sun exposure.
Limit the amount of physical activity that you do in the first 24.
Showers can be taken but only if they are lukewarm and you use mild soap.
There isn't any downtime as such. The sting goes away quickly.

What does the skin look like after the treatment & how do I look after it?

The skin will be red, swollen & puffy and it can also have blood blanching. This is all normal and you must ice the area and use our soothing gel at least 3-5 times per day after the treatment. This will prevent blistering. Blistering is common with advanced treatments. ICE ICE ICE

Does the laser cause scarring?

Most of the time no, but 99% of avoiding scarring is being compliant with aftercare instructions and is your responsibility. If you are not compliant with aftercare instructions and develop a blister it could cause scarring. If you already have a scar under the tattoo it will still be there when the tattoo is removed. If there is a lot of ink and the tattoo is raised above the skin surface the skin may remain raised but without the ink colour.

Does it hurt? What should I expect it to feel like?

This tattoo removal procedure is a little more uncomfortable than getting a tattoo. However, it is very fast, over and done quickly with one of the best laser tattoo removal machines. Most treatments take between 25-60 seconds depends on the size of the area.  We use a localised chilled air cooling treatment with a continuous flow of chilled air before, during and after your laser session, in an effort to minimise discomfort. Some clients like to get numbing cream and apply 30-60 mins before the treatment. This can be sourced from your local pharmacist.

Will I blister and scab afterwards?

To prevent any blisters please use a cube of ice 3-5 times on the day of the treatment and the prescribed gel. We try to avoid blisters and scabs but they can happen and are normal. You should not pop or pick at them. If it is bothering you feel free to call us 0499383821 If the blister pops on its own, keep the skin over it. Keep it clean to avoid getting an infection and follow strictly the aftercare instructions

Can I lighten the tattoo to have another one put on top?

Yes, depending on the colours of the tattoo. Very dark tattoos with lots of ink in the skin will require more treatments. We recommend 2 & more tattoo removal treatments to lighten the existing tattoo before having it covered. Check with the tattoo artist in-between appointments to see if it is light enough to apply the new tattoo over the top. You should wait for a minimum of six weeks between your last treatment and when you apply the new tattoo.

Can someone come in the room with me while I'm having treatment done?qualifications certificates diploma

Yes, we have safety glasses that can be worn.

How old do I have to be to have tattoo removal done?

There isn't an age restriction, however, if the client is under 18 years of age we will need a parent or guardian to be present.

Will the tattoo become lighter with one treatment?

Yes, there will be fading and lightening of the colour, even if it is black the colour fades to a brown and so on, after just one treatment. If a  tattoo has a lot of ink it can take a few treatments to see it flatten, after that it should fade quickly.

If the tattoo looks healed can I come in before six weeks?

It takes four weeks for the body to start breaking down the ink after treatment and even though the tattoo may appear healed, it is not.

Can I have just a piece of the tattoo removed?

Yes, our technicians are experienced and our tattoo removal machine is accurate so we can remove unwanted parts of tattoos.

I have permanent make-up (lip liner, eyeliner, eyebrows). Can you remove it?

Yes, we can remove these but there is a risk associated with it. Some cosmetic inks have metallic bases and when the laser hits it, it can turn black. Once this darkening occurs, it takes much longer to remove. A test spot is always done first.

I got my tattoo one week ago. Can I have it removed right now?

Unfortunately no. You must wait six to eight weeks after a tattoo has been put on to start the laser tattoo removal process.

Can multi-coloured tattoos be removed fully?

In most situations yes, but not always.

How does ink type impact tattoo removal?

Amateur and homemade inks can be easier to remove. Amateur tattoo artistry often means that the ink is not as deep as a professionally trained artist. There are also a variety of inks that professionals use that can make the removal process more difficult. All tattoos are very much individually put on. It is very difficult by just looking at the tattoo without a treatment to say for certain how many treatments it will take to remove.

Why do some peoples tattoos disappear faster than others?

There are many factors that go into the number of sessions an individual needs to remove a tattoo. Because inks, depth of ink penetration and skin type vary, so does the number of sessions needed. The skin is the body’s largest organ. Healthy organs are more resilient. A patient’s level of hydration, the strength of the immune system and overall health are also factors. The age of the tattoo is a factor. In

Fading & Custom Tattoo Removal

Do you have a tattoo you love, but only want to remove part of it or fade it so you can apply another tattoo over it? We do precision partial tattoo removal and fading to prepare your canvas for a new tattoo.

How does it work

A laser is designed to produce one or more specific wavelengths of light in short bursts when you direct this laser beam at tattoo ink, the light passes through the skin but is absorbed by the ink. The rapid absorption of light energy causes the tattoo ink to break into tiny particles that are then removed by the body’s natural filtering and immune systems – that’s right! You excrete your tattoo from your body.

How many treatments will I need?

On average professional tattoos need 5 to 15 treatments, while amateur tattoos may need four to five treatments, possibly more, spaced appropriately six to eight weeks apart. The number of tattoo removal treatments depends on the amount and type of ink used and the different colours.  Our technicians will be able to guide you through this process and advise you of how many treatments you will need at your consultation.

The Process

Partial and custom tattoo removal requires several sessions. On average professional tattoos need 5 to 15 treatments, while amateur tattoos need four to five treatments, spaced appropriately four to eight weeks apart.

The number of tattoo removal treatments depends on the size of the section you want to be removed, the amount and type of ink used, and the depth of the ink in the skin. Our technicians will be able to guide you through this process and advise you of how many treatments you will need.

After the first laser tattoo removal treatments, you'll notice a temporary whitening of the treated area. Over time, the tattoo will fade and the skin returns to normal colour.

Post-Treatment Care

An antibacterial ointment and dressing will be applied immediately after treatment and the area must be kept clean. Follow your tattoo removal physician's post-treatment instructions. You can take a shower the next day, although the treated area should never be scrubbed. If a scab forms it is important that you do not scratch or pick it.
