Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology provides a safe, non-invasive, long-lasting solution for unwanted dark hair on the face, bikini line & other body areas. IPL has been performed safely for many years, effectively eliminating dozens of hairs with each pulse. Highly controlled pulses of light are absorbed by the hair follicles lying below the surface of the skin. The absorbed light heats the hair, which damages the re-growth potential of the follicle – all without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Dermaplaning is a highly effective physical exfoliation treatment as well as an effective hair removal method for soft vellus hair. This procedure uses a medical-grade blade to very gently “shave” the surface of your skin, removing dead skin cells and “peach fuzz.” We offer our dermaplaning service with the LED Therapy Facial to boost your skin health and have you feeling smooth, hydrated and glowing.

Electrolysis

What is Electrolysis?

At Skin Sensations we offer electrolysis for the successful and long-term permanent reduction of unwanted hair. Unlike our IPL and Laser permanent hair reduction treatments, which are the best methods for removing dark hair on the face and body, electrolysis is recommended for smaller areas of stubborn coarse lightly coloured hair that generally affects the lip, chin and throat areas. All areas of the body can be done, but electrolysis is most suited to small areas with hair that doesn't have colour. Kristy is a highly trained Electrologist who works fast and efficiently to remove unwanted hairs. She will advise you if this is the best treatment option for you. To ensure the utmost level of hygiene is maintained, we use only single use, disposable needles and operate in a clean, hygienic environment. Prior to treatment, there is no prep other than to cease plucking and to let the hairs grow for a few days or until long enough to grip with a pair of tweezers.

Laser

Laser Hair Removal is a fast, gentle and effective way to remove unwanted hair with long-term results. While laser hair removal doesn't get rid of hair forever, it does drastically reduce hair growth to the point that you may be able to stop shaving altogether for a prolonged period of time. You can get it done anywhere on the body, and our machine can cover large areas. We recommend laser for larger areas of the body and for darker skin tones.
