How does it work?

Permanent Hair Removal 

At Skin Sensations we offer electrolysis for the successful and long-term permanent reduction of unwanted hair. Unlike our IPL permanent hair removal treatment which is the best method for removing dark, coarse hair on the face and body, electrolysis is recommended for smaller areas of stubborn coarse lightly coloured hair that generally affects the lip, chin and throat areas. All areas of the body can be done, but electrolyisis is most suited to small areas with hair that doesn't have any colour left.  Kristy is a highly trained Electrologist who works fast and efficiently to remove unwanted hairs. She will advise you if this is the best treatment option for you. To ensure the utmost level of hygiene is maintained, we use only single use, disposable needles and operate in a clean, hygienic environment. Prior to treatment, there is no prep other than to cease plucking and to let the hairs grow for a few days or until long enough to grip with a pair of tweezers.

Laser Hair Removal is a fast, gentle and effective way to remove unwanted hair with permanent results. 

How permanent is laser hair removal? 

While laser hair removal doesn't get rid of hair forever (only electrolysis is FDA-approved for permanent hair removal), it does drastically reduce hair growth to the point that you may be able to stop shaving altogether. You can get it done anywhere on the body, and the machine can cover large places fast. We recommend laser for larger areas of the body and for dark skin tones. We also recommend IPL for small areas of the body and for light skin tones  

Preparing for your Laser Hair Removal Treatment

The treatment area should be shaved completely prior to treatment. Legs should be shaved no sooner than 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid irritation. Do not wax, tweeze, epilate or use chemical depilatories between laser treatments.
