Dermaplaning is a highly effective physical exfoliation treatment as well as an effective hair removal method for soft vellus hair. This procedure uses a medical-grade blade to very gently “shave” the surface of your skin, removing dead skin cells and “peach fuzz.” We offer our dermaplaning service with the LED Therapy Facial to boost your skin health and have you feeling smooth, hydrated and glowing.

What are the benefits of Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning provides an effective and safe exfoliation that promotes deeper product penetration, boosting the effects of skincare products while making the skin look and feel smoother. The treatment also removes unwanted vellus hair.

Is Dermaplaning just shaving?

Dermaplaning unlike traditional shaving, uses a smaller blade to slough off dead skin cells in addition to removing wispy facial hair, so the skin is more even in tone and texture. Perfect before an event requiring professional make-up application!

How often should I be Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is recommended every 4-8 weeks. Kristy will help you figure out a personalised schedule. Each time you get Dermaplaning, you're removing about two to three weeks worth of dead skin cells.

How many layers of skin does Dermaplaning remove?

Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation method that requires the use of a sterile surgical scalpel to gently shave the top layer of dead skin (the stratum corneum) and vellus hair (peach fuzz).

Does the hair grow back thicker or darker or cause stubble?

Your hair will grow back exactly the same colour and thickness as it was previously. Once your hair begins to grow back, it might feel different because the hair was cut straight across, but it's actually the same texture as it was before and it will grow at the same speed. Your hair will grow back, but it will look like it did before you had the treatment. A surgical blade is used, which just shaves the ends from the fine vellus hairs. Nothing happens to the follicles themselves, so the growth of the hair isn't changed.
