Where on the body can IPL Rejuvenation be used?

IPL Photo-Rejuvenation can be used to treat any area of the body. The most common areas are the face, neck, chest and hands.

What is an IPL treatment like?

First, cold gel is applied to the area to be treated. The pulses of light are applied to your skin and you will feel a mild warm to hot stinging sensation that only lasts a short while. This part of the treatment typically takes 10 - 20 minutes. Treatment is generally administered over 1 to 4 sessions. You will see the gradual improvement that yields excellent long-term results with very low risk and very minimal downtime.

Who can get an IPL treatment?

Lighter skin tones are ideal to receive an IPL treatment because of the clear contrast between natural pigment and unwanted pigment. Darker skin tones are not suitable for IPL treatment. Skin Sensations works on a Fitzpatrick scale to determine if you are suitable for IPL treatment. We do also offer other modalities for the treatment of pigmentation in darker skin tones.
